Car insurance groups for Subaru

Subaru are best known for their superb sports cars built around a long established racing pedigree, with the Subaru Impreza taking centre stage. It goes without saying that Subaru car insurance can be costly for racing spec cars.

More recently, Subaru replaced the sporty Impreza with the WRX STI, leaving the Subaru Impreza brand available only in plain livery with non-turbo 1.5 and 2.0 petrol engines.

Whilst the new Subaru WRX STI still offers blistering performance with 300bhp and a 5 second 0-60 figure, many feel that the new car has lost part of its racing heritage. Given the change to a more mundane offering, the Subaru Impreza insurance group is respectably low on all lower spec models, the exception being the WRX STI which tops out at Group 36.
