Insurance groups for Aston Martin Cars
Aston Martin is perhaps the best known luxury car manufacturer with numerous classic sports cars to their name, including the legendary Aston Martin DB9 Coupe and Volante, the sporty DBS and V12 Vantage.
In a surprise move, the company recently entered the luxury small car market with the Aston Martin Cygnet, deviating away from its performance car roots. A luxury city car, the Cygnet is powered by a 1.33 litre petrol engine developing 97BHP, a far cry from the 470BHP of the DB9 V8, although the car boasts the same hand-built craftsmanship, in-keeping with Aston Martin tradition.
Falling within the prestige car sector, the insurance group of Aston Martin DB9, DBS or Vantage models is not included in the UK's normal insurance bands. The Aston Martin Cygnet being the only exception, which is allocated Insurance Group 25.
